Questions about downloading from Tumblr

Do I need a Tumblr account?

No. You never sign in to anything, because SaveVideo doesn’t log in to Tumblr and has no accounts of its own. For the same reason, the Tumblr video downloader can’t save posts that Tumblr shows only to logged-in users, such as some flagged or private blogs. Public posts work.

Why won’t my Tumblr link load?

The Tumblr video downloader needs a link to one public post, so the usual cause is a hidden post or a link to a whole blog. Open the link yourself, check the video plays without signing in, and check the address has the post number in it. If it plays and still fails, send the link through the contact page.
