We built the video downloader we wanted to use
SaveVideo started as a small tool for saving lectures and concert clips in the quality they were uploaded. No pop-ups, no fake download buttons, no sign-up. It's still built around that idea.
What makes us different
Most download sites make money by getting in your way. We'd rather you got your file and came back next time.
Typical download sites
- Pop-ups and redirects before every download
- Fake Download buttons that are really ads
- Quality capped at 720p, or worse
- Watermarks and sign-up walls
- Files re-encoded until they look blurry
SaveVideo
- One box, one click, no redirects
- Every quality the video has, up to 4K
- Original streams, never upscaled or re-encoded
- No account and no watermark
- The same tool on the web, in Chrome and on Android

Who builds it
SaveVideo is made by a small independent team. The people who write the code also read the support inbox.
How we choose features
Most of what we build starts as a message through our contact form. When enough people ask, it goes on the list.
When something breaks
Video sites change often. When one stops working, we usually ship a fix within a day.
Questions about SaveVideo
Do you store the videos I download?
No. We don’t keep copies of downloaded files after the download finishes, and we don’t keep any record that connects you to what you downloaded. There are no accounts, so nothing you save is tied to a profile. The Privacy Policy lists what we do keep, such as server logs for up to 30 days.
Is it legal to download videos?
It depends on the video and where you live. Downloading your own uploads, public-domain or Creative Commons videos, or videos you have permission to save is generally fine. For anything else, respect the creator’s rights and each platform’s terms of use. See our Terms of Service for details.
How do I report a site that stopped working?
Use the contact form and choose Report a problem. Include the video link and the browser or device you used, and we’ll look into it. If you prefer email, write to [email protected] with the same details. We reply within 2 working days.
Is SaveVideo related to SaveMP3?
Yes. SaveMP3 is our sister site for audio, made by the same team, with trimming and a choice of bitrate. SaveVideo focuses on video, and many of its pages offer MP3 too. When you want to set the MP3 bitrate yourself, SaveMP3 lets you choose it in Settings.
